Last week we talked about dancing as a way to relieve stress, burn some calories and give us a chance to experience some quick joy. So now that you have danced your tootsies off during the week and I hope made a few folks curious about your spontaneous twinkle toes, how are your treating your precious feet?
Too often we take our feet for granted and yet they bear us up, literally, through workouts in sneakers, through work in heels, and through the day-to-day work we do by just walking to and fro.
So for a chance to relax and de-stress this week, let’s do just the opposite with our feet. Let’s rest them. In fact, let’s go soak our feet.
A few minutes in a foot bath can be heavenly. If you don’t have a chance to get a foot massage, just draw yourself a pan of warm water, put in a few bath salts and let your feet be bathed in the warmth and fizz of a nice foot bath.
When you have finished this relaxing immersion, dry your feet and rub some foot lotion into those toasty footsies! Many products are out there to help massage the weariness out of your feet. Again, if you don’t have access, try some Vicks Vapo-Rub(C). No, it isn’t just for colds. The soothing eucalyptus will revive your feet.
Slip on a pair of soft, cotton socks and you will feel like a new person. Your feet will thank you.
